error installing avast anti-virus software: “not enough user rights to continue”?
Question by : error installing avast anti-virus software: “not enough user rights to continue”?
i attempted to install the avast anti virus software a few minutes ago, and when i decided to run it i got an error saying “not enough user rights to continue”. i googled the problem and many people said the solution was to download the program from an administrator account, but my account IS an admin.
any idea as to what the problem is? here is a log of the error:

Did you turn off UAC? Try right clicking the installer and choosing Run as Administrator.
They changed how security permission work in Vista and 7. Just because you’re an admin doesn’t mean that the processes you start are automatically given admin permission.
